Academy Matching Campaign
We are reaching out to Academy graduates today to ask you to give back to the Learning Forward Foundation to support an educator and share the rich Academy learning experience.
As Academy graduates, we know the difference the Academy made in supporting our professional learning. Through the exploration of a Problem of Practice using a Theory of Action, we were able to explore how to improve and deepen professional learning best practices in our schools.
The deep learning conversations we had with colleagues throughout the 2 1⁄2 year learning experience impacted our professional growth and development and continues today.
Through a generous donation from Vaughn Gross, a dedicated supporter of the Learning Forward Foundation, we are able to offer a “dollar for dollar” matching donation up to $2,000. This means that your donation will go even further in supporting an educator scholarship for the 2022 Academy experience.
Donate today to make a difference in our education system through the lens of professional learning. Every dollar donated will help reach the goal of building the capacity of leaders to establish and sustain highly effective professional learning.

Donor Update
Your commitment to the Foundation has impacted adult and student learning in our schools in positive ways. In these rapidly changing times, we continue to use the challenges before us as learning opportunities to impact educators and students in their learning. The Learning Forward Foundation is in the process of considering how best to continue to support educators with our intentional focus on increasing and supporting equity in learning.
As you know, the Foundation currently supports deep professional learning experiences through Learning Forward’s signature program, the Academy. This coming year Learning Forward will be taking time to renew and refresh the Academy experience. Therefore, in consultation with Learning Forward leadership, our Learning Forward Foundation (LFF) scholarships to the Learning Forward Academy will be awarded in 2022 to align with the LF decision to extend the current Academy participation until 2022. We will continue to award the Dale Hair Affiliate Grant for 2021.
Please know that the LFF fundraising efforts will continue to award scholarships to the Learning Forward Academy when it begins again in July 2022. The LFF support to our current scholarship awardees will continue through Scholarships and Grants regular check-ins and Research and Support Touchpoint reflective learning conversations.
We thank you for your ongoing commitment to supporting professional learning for educators. Because of your donation better teaching and learning environments for children and youth now exist in our classrooms. Your engagement with us matters and we want to share our appreciation for putting your trust and your confidence in us as good stewards of your financial contributions.
We hope that you will continue to join us on our learning journey and remain as committed to quality professional learning and equity in our schools for our children and their educators.
